Eiendomsutviklere bør merke seg at New Urbanism nå er dokumentert å være mer lønnsom en konvensjonell utbygging i Storbritannia.
Eiendomsprisene i Poundbury, den nye bydelen initiert av Prince Charles og med byplan av Leon Krier, er høyere enn for tilsvarende konvensjonelle boligområder i samme kommune.
Britiske utbyggere bruker nå Poundbury som forbilde for nye byggeprosjekter, og står i kø for å få Prince`s Foundations sertifisering for at byutviklingsprosjekter er bærekraftige og har kvalitet.

JAQUELIN T. ROBERTSON RECEIVES 2007 DRIEHAUS PRIZE
New York architect and urban planner Jaquelin Robertson is the winner of the fifth Richard H. Driehaus Prize for Classical Architecture and will receive $100,000 at March 31 ceremonies in Chicago, the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture announced Monday.

EU: URBAN TRANSPORT: PROBLEMS, SOLUTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES

"Glesare städer leder till ökade utsläpp av växthusgaser som påverkar klimatet och att städerna äter upp omkringliggande markområden. Tydliga kännetecken är snabb utbyggnad av externa köpcentrum, ökad uppdelning av boende, arbete och handel och omfattande bilanpassning av samhället."
