PROJECT FOR PUBLIC SPACES
Project for public Spaces - PPS - was founded as a non-profit in 1975 to build upon the pioneering Street Life Project of writer-sociologist William H. Whyte [a friend of Jane Jacobs]. Since then PPS have developed a unique process for
transforming public spaces, which is called "Placemaking." PPS has worked in over 1,500 communities in 47 states in the US and 24 other countries. PPS has also done work with The Prince's Foundation in London.

BUILDING PROCESS ALLIANCE
The Building Process Alliance is an international organization of architects, designers, builders, planners, researchers and educators committed to building places of enduring comfort, joy and human value. It was founded in 2005 by former colleagues and students of Christopher Alexander at the University of California at Berkeley. Work of the group was shown at the recent CNU Congress in Providence.

THE VENICE CHARTER REVISITED CONFERENCE
